Any bets on what it is?

Dean

I have an '86 535 and I thought I had a bad alternator. I took it to a garage and they said the output was low and I needed to replace it. I installed a rebuilt unit and had charged the battery. THe next day the system was dead. The new alternator was also low on voltage output. I find out that the alternator on my 5 is designed to put out 12.5-13.5 volts. So it was NOT low on output. Turns out it was the Service Indicator board draining my system. Fortunately, I was able to retrieve the core from the store and reinstall it. IT works fine to this day.
