OK, chedck the beather hose on the top of the valve cover. ALSO, but un liklely, there are 4 rubber plugs, two on the fron part of the head, two on the back, all of whichstay in place because the valve cover holds them down. just for good measure, check them. but I think it sounds like a breather hose. Not really sure what you mean, oil on the head, like sides, front, on valve cover? find the leak, I bet that is the trouble. Getting hot might have giving the valve cover some leaks, and the hot think might be a different problem. If the head gasket was leaking, or head cracked, you would eat up no matter what. Gets hot when stoped, does it cool back down to normal when you drive?
