Well, I had a '85 Euro 535i (235h.p.) - 5-speed OD with 3:73LSD. New Metric tires on correct alloys. Found a new straigh - strech of FREEWAY
in Southern, CA.
It was a beautiful Sunday returning from a E24 - SHARK cruise along PCH.
Anyway - I got on the tollroad and opened her up -
I glanced down at the speedo - It was above 150m.p.h. - exact reading was 152m.p.h. - I got scared and backed off the gas. Believe it or not there was alittle more peddle - I know I could of got it to 155m.p.h. It took 10 minutes to pry my hands off the steering wheel!!!!!!!!!!

But that's a unknown area for a 15 year old car..... I want to live alot longer. I don't recommend anyone doing it unless your car is 100%.

BE CAREFUL!!!! SPEED is a RUSH but can be expensive and DEADLY!

Yeah, These cars being over 10 years old makes me kind of wonder whether they would hold up at speeds but they do. It's good to know that they can handle the speed though just in case you may need it someday. I wouldn't try with old bushings though. As a matter of fact, this was the first time I took the car over 110mph. I've just installed new bushings, springs and shocks about a month ago so I was confident that my car would stay true to the road. Wouldn't want to get those shimmies at over 100mph.

Drive safe
