What tools are NECASSARY to replace a leaking driveaxle seal on a 86 535i ?

What do you use to set the seal into it's groove?

Any advise or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Alex

No real special tools needed, except for the proper sized hex head sockets to remove the drive shafts. Then I believe you will need a pry bar or something to pop the diff flanges out. Use the same to pop out the seals. Be careful not to damage the surround area. Use a LARGE socket to drive the new seals in place. Be careful and not to damage the area where to seals rest. Not a hard job. Car needs to be off the ground. Good Luck, I did mine in about 2 hours.
