Hi there, well, It's been a rough couple days, first I get heat pouring into the car suddenly from the floor vents, I mean REALLY hot to the point where it is quite uncomfortable, especially in the passenger seat, any thoughts on that? And today a new more troubling problem arose......... I was riding along and had just made a U-turn to pick up my friend, admittedly I timed my U-Turn quite poorly and ended up spinning my wheels a bit, after picking him up, after braking for the first time I felt a slight bumping...... then all hell broke loose when I accelerated, a loud THUMP, THUMP, THUMP as I accelerated, I could have sworn it was a flat tire based on the sound, I am not kidding, it was the SAME sound, but the car was handling fine, and after stopping and inspecting no flat, also, while we could hear the THUMP, THUMP, THUMP, you could feel it through the seats, really feel it, almost as if the car was bouncing, it felt as if it was coming from just behind the front seats center but I have no way to be sure, driveshaft perhaps? Also worth noting is that after getting her up to 70, the problem seemed to decrease considerably, infact the thump thumping is almost gone, now a low rumble and vibration upon any acceleration. She is handling fine, and there does not appear to be a power drop off of any sort, I had her on the highway tonight and the faster I went, the less noticable the problem was. One other thing, while riding at about 30 mph, I could hear through the open windows what sounded a bit like a high pitched metal on metal squealing, like a worn brake pad, it was low, but noticable. The car is going into storage in a week for 2 months at which time I am shipping it back up north and will actually have a really good mechanic do some other work on her, however I really need this last week to be trouble free, any thoughts on what this could be? Maybe she is mad at me for leaving her for a bit? LoL, sometimes I swear my car is posessed!
Any thoughts or suggestions on this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Also, does anyone know how the hell I can manually close those floor vents, its hot enough in Florida, I don't need to be driving aruond in my own personal sauna, the little slide thingee is stuck midway or so and I cant close it.

Thanx in advance, you all have saved my sanity quite a few times in the past.
