Forgive my ignorance, but how do low profile tires increase torque?

demet

Bob G.,

I've been looking to upgrade to either a 16" or 17" and would like to know what the width and offset are of the 17" wheels you have. Did they require any spacers? What size tires did you run? Yes, I've checked the archives, but there's not a whole lot about the 17" sizes. TIA.

...I have two sets of 17" wheels that fit 535i's,with or without tires.Let me know what you're looking for.

I am running 17' e36 M3 motorsport replica rims on my 533i. I got a tire and rim package from discount tire. The rims fit nice, bolt straight on, and with low pros you get a nice increase in torque. The only drawback to bigger rims and low pros is a slightly rough ride but performance wise it was a nice upgrade. The were manufactured in Germany by some company but I have yet to find out who.
