Hi gang, I just brought my first BMW today. Its a 1985 535i in Cosmoblu with navy leather int. I paid $2300. Car has 182K miles but it has been well taken care of. No accident, repaints,or replaced panel. Engine runs like it was new, new clutch, brake pads and ATE power disk rotors. The owner really took care of the car as the exterior and interior is in really good shape. I do need some suspension work. You all know (thrust rods, tie rods and Guibo) The car comes with E34 525i alloys 15" with brand new 205-60-15 tires in perfect alomst new condition (they are FOR SALE!!!!! $420obo) I am looking forward to some of your advice as I fix her up to become drivers school ready.

Jake; I've specialized in setting up BMWs for street/track use, especially e28 and e34 5 series cars. You're welcome to buzz me about any mods you want...make sure to BALANCE the changes you make,or you'll lose 50% of what you try to do.

Depending on your budget, the best thing is to just go to driver's school, and find out what you don't know before making serious changes. You can always change suspension,gearing,brakes,wheels/tires,etc. later.
If you feel you want to do some now regardless, let me know,as I may have some upgrades used for you, such as wheels/tires/gearing/brakes/exhaust,etc.
