There are kits sold at places like Pep Boys and Autozone that have all the cables and hardware you need. Kits run 40 to 60 bucks and just require your weekend. Hardest part is running the cables through the passenger compartment.

I read a while back on this forum about moving the battery on an e28 into the trunk. Does anybody remember that? And if so how was this performed?
