The link you posted indicates weak spark but good fuel. The symptoms in my case indicate good spark (the tach works) but no fuel (the fuel economy gauge goes to max).

Specifically, the symptoms indicate the ECU is not even trying to actuate the fuel injectors. Also, the fact that the engine must actually stop turning before the ECU will let it restart tells me the ECU has entered some kind of shutdown mode, and that this mode is reset the engine comes to a stop. Does anyone know of such a mode, and what causes the ECU to enter it?
