Actually I wanted to know how the instrument tach gets its info, not how the ECU gets it. As I said, the tach keeps registering when the car stalls. With a traditional tach this would mean there was spark, but if the tach uses one of the block sensors, this theory goes out the window. On the other hand, if the tach uses the same block sensor the ECU uses, then I know the ECU is getting the sensor info. In either case I know the ECU is not actuating the fuel injectors, so it's not a fuel pump relay problem.
