Hello Everyone,

I own a 1983 528e, lately when I push the gas pedal the car surges (jerks) and a puff of black smoke will come out the back. I've changed the spark plugs and the O2 sensor, new main and fuel pump relays. Fuel pump itself checked out ok. The only other thing I can think of is TPS and/or fuel pressure regulator. Please help me asap. Also, when I'm coastin there's no blck smoke or surging. TIA , Lyle T.
