PS I've put new plugs and belts. I plan to order rotor, distributor cap, timimg belt and tensioner and o2 sensor.
Anyplace better than inparts online?
if service records dont indicate if the timing belt has been changed within the last 60k miles/4 year interval, you are risking the ultimate stall/clunk scenario. at 160k i had the timing belt changed after i noticed that it was fraying. this can be checked by removing the cap, rotor and dust seal.i tore the removed belt in 1/2 easily. if the smell is gas,it may be injector seals, short money. get an extra one for the fuel pressure regulator. if car is running rich, have fuel pressure checked, your problem could be too high a pressure caused by a failing regulator. the drive line clunk may be a diiferential mount gone bad.
