Try warm vegetable oil...any type. wipe it on with a cloth and put a hot heating pad on it. let sit for 30 minutes and use a plastic or stiff naturak bristle brush on it. Second coat as necessary. I've worked in the nursery business and we always wash with veg oil before soap when woking with pines...its amazing...
