I agree. I spent close to $100 for an Interstate battery for my wife's 528e a couple of years ago, thinking that the sizing (dimensions) was critical. Then I bought a Champion "Import" battery at Sam's or BJ's for about $30 -$35 for my 535i about 6 months later. It fits right in and works fine. Granted, it's about 500 or 550 CCA vs about 600 or 650 CCA for the Interstate but, that hasn't made a difference as the car always starts right up.
