I just picked up an immaculate set with the original tires still mounted on them for $1255 on Ebay. Seller had them on a 6er and maintained them fanatically (Zymoled monthly). I just received them last week and they look brand new, tires still have an easy 6K miles left. Took me about six months until I found this set, but it is possible.
