I bought a M30 engined car that had had the cat "cleaned out" with a broom handle when it clogged. Nice exhaust note, no restriction, and a free solution! I doubt the cat "can" alone adds any restriction and still looks stock, BTW.

Yeah, I was thinking of broom-handling as well. Sounds like it might be the way to go.

Actually I was more interested in running the motor without the O2 sensor connected, and was concerned about the possibility of overheating and thereby creating a possible restriction.
