Does anyone know how much it would cost to port and polish head/ put on larger valves or try and do the 10:1 coversion? If so has anyone done this to their car? Have any specs or prices, with the results i'd see?

thx for the help in advance

Josh...I've done major head work, matched worked exhaust manifold, special cat/exhaust,added a Schrick cam, lightened flywheel, cone filter, shaved the head,etc.,etc.,and added major changes to the suspension and gearing and brakes.
AND,I can also,as one of many BMWCCA instructors, tell you that you had better spend both time and money on driver's schools before you bother.
It took me a year and more to learn how to drive even a slightly modified e28 535i properly at close to it's limits, and that was with a decade of driver's schools behind me.
Later my car outran M5's and M3's ontrack, but FIRST,learn the car,or it's wasted money and time.
The problem of weight transfer alone ontrack should keep you busy for months.
