What's up? I've got an WICKED tape player in my car too. This is how I get it to get to "click in and play":

1) Turn the tape player on and off really quick (w/the volume)
2) Take a flat-head screwdriver to the bitch (I take the screwdriver and lift up the tape and let it drop until you can hear it click in)

Yeah, I should probably get a new tape player too--considering my radio forgets its presets every time I turn the car off.
