Brett,

I don't know why those guys are telling you that. Everyone on this board always says that you can purchase the lighted window switch. All you have to do is break off a little plastic piece on each switch so it'll fit into your older-style connector. That's all you have to do. I would go ahead and find the best price (b/c the switches are all the same) and buy however many you need. Just forget what they say, b/c they'll fit, according to everyone else.

As far as clear turn signals go: I actually liked the thought of putting them in the rear as long as they have a "factory" look to them. I can't justify more than $20 a pop, though, for a piece of glass (or high-quality plastic or whatever they're made of).

In the front, they don't appeal to my personal taste. Not with the US bumpers. The Euro bumpers, on the other hand, are a different story because of the fogs being integrated into the bumper. I've seen a guy's M535i in the Netherlands (not Ivo's; someone else's) that has an all black car, slightly lowered, and has clear front turn signals that blend right in with the fogs. Excellent look, to my personal taste.

As far as changing the look of the front turn signals on the US bumpers, I had actually thought about just putting some window tint on them and the side markers (front and rear) to make them blend in with the black rubber. Some might think it'll look "ghetto," but I really think it would make the US bumpers look a bit less crappy, especially if you do the liposuction effect. That would be a great temporary and cheap alternative to the Euro bumpers until you can find the cash to actually do the conversion.

Sorry for the length. Hope this helps.

Have a good one,
Brad

I called BMP and Bav Auto(spend lots of money with actually)
but they don't know what to say, but that the lighted switches are just for 88- and on?
Any more ideas where I could get them for sure and also get cheaper clear turn signals?
In your opinion would you out them on your car? or leave the yellow ones on there if they looked good.
