what my y2k Z3 says. Other than that, there's not much maintenance required. If it was my car, I'd change the synthetic oil every 10,000 miles even at my expense (about 48.00 at the dealer) I have a 2000 528i - now has 16500 miles on it, but as yet I have not had an indication that service is required. This bothers me for a number of reasons. One is the possibility that there is something wrong with the service required indicator, and my warranty will be nailed. Also, how do I plan a road trip for several hundred miles, when I am concerned that service indicator is imminently going to illuminate? I am impressed with everything about this car, except the variable manitenance program. Comments welcome! ROry Kay Warrenton VA
