if i'm not mistaken, a few euro manufacturers started the whole clear light thing as an option on their cars in the mid-90's. but they were only an option for euro-market cars, not ones that came to the US. several luxury makes have taken notice, and are making these lights standard on some of their new cars. anyone seen a new lexus SUV? not only are the amber parts clear, but so are the red parts on the tail lights. kinda ricey in my opinion, but whatever. anyway, just my thoughts.
