AFM's have a wierd thing about a resistance check. There is no linear amount of ohms for any flap position, so it is hit and miss form t/s. Swapping it out is a good tip, but from looking at posts, they don't seem to go bad that often.
Do the cap, rotor, wires and plugs bofore digging into the even more expensive AFM. Make sure those sensors are making a good connection.
