My parents bought the 535i in 86. Even though I wish I could be as good a mechanic as most of ya'll on here, we have always taken great care by always taking it to the dealer for inspections, changing the oil every 3k, only and always putting 93 from Exxon.
About three years ago I took the responsibility of taking good care of the car just like we have for the past 15yrs with it now having 204k miles on an outstanding engine runs better than my friends Honda's and even American made cars. Last summer I lowered the car about 1 1/2, added 16' Borbet wheels, tinted windows all around, new paint job, Bilstein shocks, BavAuto springs, new cat. converter, short shift kit, etc.
In my opinion I think its the best car I have ever driven, no shit. The engine is just like the Energizer Bunny going going...
Their worth and everyone on this page would agree, even your neighbors would agree as well(I hope ha!)
Sorry so long but as you can tell you will be proud and will know why they call them .... The Ultimate Driving Machine. And that my friend is certainly no lie.

I want some owner comments about that car and also comments considering fuel consumption are welcome (especially in winter). I appreciate all kind of comments what you have about that cars.
