There's a BMW dealer near my house, but I never go there, except to buy trivial parts. I found a good garage that specializes in BMW, and I do a lot of small stuff myself.
A few changes I'm glad I did.
-Install a short shift kit.
-Dump the TRX wheels and get modern tires. The car handles much better in snow now, and fuel economy went up almost 10%.
-Added an alert if I open the driver's door and the lights are on. (One relay & a diode.)
-Added a keyless entry system from JC Whitney.
A pet peeve (which I've gotten used to)
-The steering wheel is off center, by design. I can't see the part of the speedometer I use most.
There are lots of pages that list common problems with these cars.
Well,
I want some owner comments about that car and also comments considering fuel consumption are welcome (especially in winter). I appreciate all kind of comments what you have about that cars.
Thanx.
