Those cheapo warning buzzers offend my aesthetic sensibility because they don't sound stock. They also offend my engineering sensibility because there's no point in adding a buzzer if there's already a perfectly good chime unit in place.

My gadget uses the factory gong unit, so it caters to those sensibilities. It also caters to my ego, because someday, when circumstances are right, the lights will be left on, the door will be opened, the chime unit will sound, and some e28-phile will be blown away by the elegance and prowess of my solution. A solution to a dilemma that has found countless motorists stranded by the early morning light with a dead battery! A dilemma that has found countless others with hideous aftermarket buzzers chiding their forgetfulness and announcing their propensity for cheap gizmos for all to hear! A dilemma that has plagued BMW owners for as long as it has been possible to accidently leave their lights on! A dilemma that has been vanquished once and for all, allowing connoisseurs of fine motor vehicles to finally sleep soundly, knowing for the first time, thanks to the one and only true and familiar voice of their faithful chariots, that Yes! the car will start, and the lights are out!
