The positive responses are encouraging. Re: the post about strength of the chassis...I am not proposing a hardtop, but a coupe with the post/center pillar intact... Simply move it back 6 inches (should not affect body rigidity and strength). I was please with the white e28, and do not see it as competition for the 6 series. They are two different cars, with the e12/e28's having a real back seat...no changes there. I do have a 630 and love it, but I believe I would like these coupes just as well. I think BMW missed a bet on this one, IMO. I may build it!! I have it all planned out, except for the door glass. Does anyone have any Ideas on glass. I already have the 528e. It's a project anyway, so why not this one?
