When you open the pan the is ALWAYS some amount of residue I think a tranny place MIGHT try to sell you a rebuilt before you actually need one.But I am in NYC...
Good luck

Hi
I am planning of having the automatic transmission fliud changed in my 86 535i. I was wondering if it's better to take it to a European car specialist or if it's better to take it to a transmission specialist. I would like to take it to whichever place is more likely to catch any problems with the tranny in the early stages so I won't need a rebuild. Thanks in advance for any information.
