I had the opportunity to drive a 2000 323i wagon while having my valves adjusted at the dealer (Sandia BMW in NM - GREAT service). The one thing that I thought was kinda nifty about the interior lights was that they stay on for a few seconds after you get in the car and then fade off. This is just like the overhead warning light panel on my car and I was wondering if one could wired that delay mechanism into the interior light switch on an e28. Also, could one simply wire in small lights in the front footwells? Lastly, how about a map light panel with some red bulbs to softly illuminate the shifter from above? The wagon also had this and it was cool as s**t. Any ideas? Chip B?
