the NSX is a fine machine, i'll give you that, and honda is a highly-respected engine builder, but...as far as your claim to the NSX being the top-rated sports car in the world, let's see...looking at some stats right now:

2000 Acura NSX-T
mid-engine/REAR wheel drive
3.2L V6 making 290 bhp/224 ft lbs
0-60: 5.0 s
0-100: 11.7 s
quarter mile: 13.5 s
top speed: 168 mph
lateral accel: 0.89 g

now lets look at something with a BMW engine...

1995 McLaren F1
mid-engine/that pesky REAR wheel drive
6.1L BMW V12 making 627 bhp/479 ft lbs
0-60: 3.2 s
0-100: 7.7 s
quarter mile: 11.6 s
top speed: 240 mph
lateral accel: 0.86 g

the NSX may have a SLIGHT handling advantage, but not enough of one to compensate for the McLaren making well over TWICE the power, accelerating a lot quicker, and having a much higher top speed. and one more thing: when was the last time anything powered by honda absolutely dominated the field in its debut race, as the BMW McLarens did at LeMans in 1995?
