Look at all those pretty lights! (archive)

Anybody know how the lights work in the sliding vent/fresh air levers? Also the lights for the fan/blower switch? Here's the deal...the fan dial has never lit up, but the three sliders and everything else did...until yesterday! Well, the only lights that went out are the top and middle slider lights, the bottom one still works. You know that little defrost diagram, still lit up! Temp. control dial, still lit up! Three dots next to the sliders, still lit up! So except for the bottom lever, and the other things mentioned, everything else is dead.

Any help would be appreciated! I know this is minor, but it would be nice to have the whole panel shining bright once again. I did notice some broken card-like connections in there...maybe these are the culprits. TIA!
