The tire on my combo is about one-eighth of an inch from the spring mount. Your proposed wheel will add one-quarter inch to each side over what I have, and that alone will put you into interference. Also keep in mind that the bulge on your tire at maximum section width will be higher up due to the larger diameter, and with the spring mount extending at about a 45-degree angle, this will cause even more interference. That's just for the back side. If you were to eliminate the interference by using a spacer, the wheel would extend past the fender lip.
This is just the consideration for the front; on the rear, your wheel will stick out about one-quarter inch further than mine, requiring more trimming (or rolling) than I had to do.
In other words, this ain't the best fitment. Unless someone else has actual experience to counter this, I'd say not to try it.
Do you guys think they will fit an 1988 535is? I found them at discount tire and they look like the BBS RK's! I called yesterday and the guy said the 8.5 is too wide for the front. I called today and another guy said they will bolt right on and that they were made for the older BMW's and I will not have any problems in the front because the 18mm offset it just right for my car???
