No special tools although if you are reusing the arms you would want to use a ball joint press, otherwise a couple of raps with the hammer should pop them. I assume you are replacing the arms because the ball joints are gone? Are you using a stock replacement arm and bushing? I would take this opportunity to upgrade the locator bushings with the 750i units. You can use a bearing press and have the old ones swapped out in a 1/2 hour. I had a local shop do mine, chump change. I used a 1/2" bolt, 2 washers and 2 nuts to "spread" the locator bushing mounts so tht the wider bushings would fit. A torque wrench should be used on the ball joint end, check the Bentley for specs.
Make sure you tight all the bolts with the bushing loaded (with all four tires on the ground) you can do this simply with your jack under the control arm, but be carefull were you place it and don't bend the control arm.
I like to jack the car up, remove the front wheel, place a jackstand under the hub portion of the front brake rotor and lower the jack. This compresses the front end with the weight of the car and allows easy access (while lying on your back) to torque the bushing end of the thrust arm.
