BMW 525i Tranny Slipping (archive)

I've noticed recently that my transmission is slipping, primarily while upshifting from 1st to 2nd gear after coming to a stop or turning a corner. I'm hoping that it is just a little low on fluid but I can't check the level as there is no dipstick (sealed transmission?)

I had the fluid changed 7000 miles ago and there was a recall to replace a transmission seal 30,000 miles ago.
The car only has 74,000 miles. Is this normal? Have others had this problem?
