I went out for coffee this morning and noticed that the condensation in the 5-series was quite a bit more than the other cars and thought quickly to all the posts regarding water leaking into the car. The recent big rain that we had made me think that something wasn't right.
I reached down and the carpet in the front seat area was wet. I went around to the trunk and the trunk area is wet (I am familiar with brake light assembly gasket problem). I checked the carpet in the back seat and it is soaked! When I say soaked I mean like "Wet/Dry Vacumme" soaked!
So Los Angeles is sunny today and the car is wide open drying out. Does anyone have something that has been successful for clearing the 4 drain "tubes" that surround the sunroof? From all of the wet e28 posts it leads me to believe that the wet interior is due to clogged drainage tubes that start at the sunroof-interesting though because nothing but carpet is wet in the car. The back seat behind the driver is REALLY soaked!
Thanks for any suggestions/tips on how to clear the drains.
