I was able to install my 6x9s by cutting the rear parcel shelf with a utility knife and a pair of heavy tin snipes, and then cleaning up the edges with a dremel. A sawzall would be difficult to use in the position you have to get into. If I had to do it again I'd try to do it with a 4in grinder with a cutting disk.

It doesn't look bad at all, the 6x9 fills the shelf well.
