i've finally gotten the metal box unattached and everything, but i cannot to save my life figure out how to get the 'wiring harness' or whatever you'd call it off! i've pulled and yanked and pushed and pryed every which way and can't get it to even budge! i have a feeling there's a very simple way of doing it that i'm just not seeing.... tia

The cable is on pretty tight- it has 35 pins, after all. There's a metal lever at one end of the connector that pries that end off the ECU. (Grunt just a bit- it'll work.) The other end of the connector then slips backward out of a retaining bracket on the ECU. You have to lift the free end quite a bit before the other end will slip out.
