my understanding is that you want to torque the thrust arm and control arm through bolts only when the car is sitting on level ground on all four properly inflated tires.

If you torque the arms at different angles you will get some very funky handling. The car may oversteer left and understeer right. In may case I ended up with a tremendous starboard oversteer. The car would practically jump from one lane to another.

FYI. Put it on ramps. Four if you can.
