anybody familiar with this model? I am interested in how much horsepower this engine had on this model?

As for euro E12's.... There was never a 530i. The 530i was a US only car (with exception of a Japanese version as well).

There were many euro variants of the E12:

518
520/i
525/i
528/i
533i (200 or so made)
M535i (1400 or so)
