relay that drained the battery dead

I presume the relay was replaced. If so, no problems from the new one, right? Old things tend to screw things up.

radio forgets presets(still does)

The radios are pieces of crap anyway. They sounds good (that's possibly the speakers, though) for a decade-and-a-half old car, but, obviously, there are new things.

I think the forgetting preset problem is b/c of a different electrical problem. Check the archives. Many people have had this problem (not me, so I can't help)

headrest didn't go up and down

If the headrests, STILL don't go up & down, check out the common and free (if you've got a metal coat hanger lying around, and I'm sure you do) fix for it on my website: http://www.angelfire.com/biz/couv/headrest.html

heater blower was rusted or something

Same thing as with the relay: old things tend to screw up. Replacing them tends to help :-)

factory cassette is wicked EVIL and practically refuses to play tapes unless force is applied

I hear you on that one. I've still got the factory tape deck, b/c I'm poor and can't afford a new head unit, but, the second I get the cash to spend on it, I'm buying a new one from Crutchfield. You oughtta do the same.

door locks are FRICKEN NUTS and go into unlock/lock cycle

Scottie addressed this problem, so I can skip it

drivers door must be shut in order to lock the car

As Scottie said, that's how they're supposed to work. If you're not a person that tends to lock his keys in the car, then it's a bit of a hassle, but who cares? It's just a damn door lock! :-)

ABS sensors are rusted(yet ABS works sometimes), trunk button just LOVES to not pop back out, right rear window falls into the door(once), original OBC lost its mind(replaced), new motor was replaced after only 5 years, e-brake must be pulled ALLLL the way back(with extreme force) in order to secure the car and the button was originally not visible(inside the lever)

Scottie's addressed these.

TRX wheels(need I even say more)

Save up your money and get some new/used non-TRX wheels.

windows go up at .0000005 mph

Scottie tackled this one.

Like Scottie said, the car's old. Most of that stuff is just maintenence stuff. If you get the thing into good condition, you'll LOVE it, but you have to do a lot of work to KEEP it in good condition.

I've found a pretty easy way to keep your car in good condition: give her a name, and TALK to her all the time! When HER morale goes up, YOURS does! If you show her that you love her, she'll love you back!

Good luck with your new project(s),
Brad
