survey favorite track wheel and tire combo? (archive)

I'm thinking of getting some track wheels and tires for my 87 535is for local autocrosses and track schools to save my street tires (16.5" touring knockoffs from discount tire with 225-50-vr16 Nitto 450's). What is everyone using and what are your experiences and costs to get in? Pete
