I had a similar problem. The sunroof motor has a plastic cam and a microswitch that tells it when to stop. On my car, the cam had worn so that it could give a false signal. I ended up performing reconstructive surgery on the cam with a soldering iron. My sunroof works fine now. Careful, though- what needs to be done isn't exactly obvious, and a certain amount of technique and insight are required.

It seems everytime I close my sunroof it will not close completely. What it will is, when its at the point of almost closing it will stop and you can hear the wind noise coming thru even though it looks closed.
Then I have to push the button again to close it, but on the other hand when I try to open it I have to push the button several times for it to actually start working, other than that everything is great!
So do I need to lub something or tighten a bolt or what?
Thanks for anything!
