There's a clutch on the suroof motor, which may be loose. There's a small plastic panel above the active check panel. If you remove the panel, you'll see an allen bolt in a gear. Tighten the allen bolt (using the convenient tool that isn't missing from your BMW toolkit, yes?).

If that doesn't work, you may have a broken sunroof cable, in which case, bummer.

Mine does not work at all, when pushing the button I do hear the motor (I think), but no movement, also I have it "propped" up. suggestions.
