Yup, I just repaired mine this past summer. It was a bitch. There is no mention of it in the Bentley. To disassemble, roll the roof back. If it doesn't budge, try to spool the cable manually with an allen wrench on the motor drive (access panel near the sunroof switch). Then remove the rails on both sides. Keep the gooey stuff to reseal the screws later on. Once the rails are removed, you can continue to spool "open" the cables with the motor drive until they are released. Then you can check to see if the cables are snapped or whatever. The cables are not cheap (about $75 each!) and I do recommend replacing both. I'm not sure if I determined that I needed to pull the roof back "closed" again and lift it out of the body to replace the cables or if I determined that I could have replaced the cables with the roof in the tracks. Take a close look. I am sure I worked way too hard on this job (but I'm enjoying a working sunroof now!). Do not under any circumstances attempt to force the roof unless the guides plate covers are returned to their original positions. You will be in for a mess of trouble if it gets stuck. And watch your paint. Good luck Pierre! Let us know how it goes.
