I have a 85 528e. It is pin 7 and you can either jump to pin 1 which is ground or jump it to one of the grounds in the engine compartment. Once jumped, turn ignition on (position 2) but do not start car. Leave on for about 3 seconds should reset oil service or 11 seconds to reset inspection. Turn car off and disconnect jumper wires.
