I've got a new head, plugs, rotor, air filter. I've cleaned the throttle body, the idle control valve, replaced the throttle gasket and checked all intake hoses for leakage. The valves are excellent and well adjusted. The idle is still a bit rough. I'm thinking of replacing the O2 sensor next, or maybe the idle control valve, or the speed sensor. Acceleration is excellent and when running on freeways runs excellent. Any ideas where to start?

first, what kind of plugs are in the car? if they are platinum, toss em in the garbage and get the ones listed in the back of the owners manual.
second, while the car is idling, GENTLY tap on the idle control valve with a hammer, if the idle flattens out, then replace the idle valve if not then go to the speed sensor.

also, i just remembered, before anything go and get a can of good fuel system cleaner(castrol has one) and try that, it is the most inexpensive and least intrusive thing to start with.
