They're meaty tires, and they stick like glue. The 205 is fine on an 8" rim, but you'll love the traction of the 225s. Be careful in heavy rain, though!!

I have 225/50/16s on Alpinas on my 535i. The fronts are 7" and the rears are 8". 225s look fine on the 7" rim, and they fit with no rubbing.
