Well...in my humble opinion $250 USD for a parts car is a good deal...especially if you can rob the tranny out of it and convert your '82 auto to a manual. Possibly even upgrading the engine in your '82 to the '86 engine? Hope this doesn't contribute further to your wife's working diagnosis of your "BMW-related lunacy." For now...my wife is being supportive of my BMW craziness...
87 535is 5spd
152,000 miles (currently with drivability problems...stalling at stop lights, failing rear shocks, leaking rear tail lights, etc.)
i thinking of buying another 520i,i went to look at a "86"car today, the seats and steering wheel are covered in white mould,in the area's near all 4 jacking points they have been plated and welded,it needs a new hood and a front panel, all 4 tyres are flat it doesn't start due to a flat battery.
the bodywork is free from rust and rot surprising since the car has been stood for 1 year in english weather.
the seller is asking £200GBP($250USD)do you think this is fair due to its condition and the amount of money it needs to put it right?will i be able to get the mould off of the seats as they are cream in colour?
