Well...in my humble opinion $250 USD for a parts car is a good deal...especially if you can rob the tranny out of it and convert your '82 auto to a manual. Possibly even upgrading the engine in your '82 to the '86 engine? Hope this doesn't contribute further to your wife's working diagnosis of your "BMW-related lunacy." For now...my wife is being supportive of my BMW craziness...

152,000 miles (currently with drivability problems...stalling at stop lights, failing rear shocks, leaking rear tail lights, etc.)
i thinking of buying another 520i,i went to look at a "86"car today,the seats and steering wheel are covered in white mould,in the area's near all 4 jacking points they have been plated and welded,it needs a new hood and a front panel,all 4 tyres are flat it doesn't start due to a flat battery.
the bodywork is free from rust and rot surprising since the car has been stood for 1 year in english weather.
the seller is asking £200GBP($250USD)do you think this is fair due to its condition and the amount of money it needs to put it right?will i be able to get the mould off of the seats as they are cream in colour?
