88 535is Can someone tell me where to find the ECU? Ive been reading a lot about 'soldered connections' and their relationship to loss of power. Also, does my year/make have a cold start valve? If so where is that little puppy? Thanks,

ECU: open glove box, pull vynal down(two snaps hold it in place on either side) and there it is held in by 4 10mm bolts

Cold Start Valve: look at top of motor from the pass. side. find the center of the intake manifold, look down, it's kinda hard to see, but there it is. to get to it, go to the other side of the intake manifold and start feeling around, it looks like a little fuel injector(as that is what it essentially is).

good luck
