sound like low PS fluid to me, too. When I write up my pupu platers of what needs to be done to customers cars when they come in, PS leaks are almost always there. Check hoses at res. also leaks at hose to pump conection. Grind hoses metal conection flat at pump with emery cloth, install new copper washer aand try again.
