What are the numbers the alignment shop is giving you? When I had an alignment done the camber numbers were off, 6.7 degrees left and 6.8 degrees right. I think the factory numbers are 7.5-8.5 degrees. I do not believe there are any corrections for caster other than frame related manipulation. My body shop said that since the numbers were so close together and I was evperencing no handling, steering or tire problems that I leave the frame alone. I am still a bit concearned but having a frame shop pull and reshape perhaps unnessisarily worries me more.

Just sent a recently purchased '87 535i for an alignment fix and was told the caster was off on the right side. They suggested having a frame straightener force a correction. This seems like the wrong thing to do as the car has never been wrecked...probably pothole related. Anyone have experience fixing a caster problem?

Thanks, Chris
